FCOM SuperPack v6.4.2 Final - Installation guide:

FIRST THING: Download FCOM SuperPack and any PATCH here:
Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registred or enter the forums!

NOTE: You need WinRAR to extract the packages and to install them, if you haven't it yet, download it here:
Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registred or enter the forums!

You need:

-TES4 Oblivion ENGLISH
-The Shivering Isles Expansion
-Knights of the Nine (ALL 9 DLCs, included BattleHorn Castle!)
-Patch v1.2.0416

TEXTURE PACK: If you want 2 exellent Texture Packs, download them and install them BEFORE FCOM SuperPack. FCOM SuperPack offers total support for these two texture packs, and already includes QTP3 patch.

QTP3 download link:
Only registered users can see links on this board!

Bomret Texture Pack for Shivering Isles:

Note that they can negatively affect game performance!

INSTALLATION:

IMPORTANT: Disable your antivirus when installing, it sees the "Plugins.exe" files, required to keep the load order, as a possible threat, when they are not a virus.

1) Extract the part1 archive (be sure the 3 archives are all in the same place), be also sure to check the administrator rights if using Vista/Win7.

2) Run Setup.exe, read carefully the installer descriptions.

3) When asked, select the folder where the Oblivion folder is located (usually Bethesda Softworks).
DON'T INSTALL DIRECTLY INSIDE THE OBLIVION FOLDER!

For example: "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks".
NOT IN: "C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion".

4) The Setup will now ask to install TweakOblivion, install it where you prefer, but not in the Oblivion folder.

5) Install any patch is available in the download section in the same previous way.

6) Set the game options as you prefer and play!

-If you have more than 2gb ram, run the [b]4gb Patch.exe
pointing it to your Oblivion.exe file.

-Don't mess with the disabled ESPs! They must be disabled.

-Optional but important, defrag the HDD and restart the computer before playing.

-You can run the game using the OBSE shortcut "Play FCOM SuperPack" on your desktop, or the "obse_loader" executable in the Oblivion folder.

-Don't forget to read the Survival Guide from the online forum!

MERGED and NON MERGED installation:

Since version 6.4.1 you'll be prompted during the installation to choose between MERGED and NON MERGED versions of the SuperPack:

The merged version is more performant and arguebly more stable, but is not customizable because most plugins are merged in a single esp, so you cant deactivate a single mod. I've kept the merged esps in the load order, but DO NOT ENABLE THEM, they must stay disabled since they are already imported in a single esp (Merged Patch.esp).

The NON merged version keeps all plugins loose and actived, allowing you to disable/tweak a single mod.

How to properly disable a mod (WORKS ONLY FOR THE NON MERGED VERSION).

In order to do so, there is a small procedure to follow; if for example you want to disable "Skill Decay" mod, you must:

-Run Wrye Bash
-Deactivate Skill Decay.esp (it will say that also Bashed Patch and DynamicLeveledLists.esp will be disabled, keep going).
*Note that if the esp is tagged with imports, you must disable also its imports when rebuilding Bashed Patch, or it'll be imported when rebuilding it.
-Rebuild the Bashed Patch (follow the installation guide in the SuperPack forums if you dunno how to) and enable it.
-Go in Oblivion/Data, run the file DynamicLeveledLists.jar (NOT the ESP!), a window will open, close it (NOTE: you'll need JAVA plugin to run that file, download it from Google).
-A loading window will appear, wait it finishes.
-Run again Wrye Bash and enable DynamicLeveledLists.esp (the last plugin).

Done, your hated mod is not in the game anymore!

READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDE ONLY IF YOU NEED TO REBUILD THE BASHED PATCH (For experienced users!!):

BASHED PATCH for v6.4.2

A) Run Wrye Bash (if you missed the shortcut in "Desktop/FCOMSuperPack Tools", open "Wrye Bash" in "Oblivion/Mopy").
-Check "Yes" to the pop up.

B) Left-click on "Modify Times" column in order to sort the mods by load order (times).

C) On the down-left side of the window there is a bar, check for "BOSS", if you hover the cursor on it, it will display "Launch BOSS", click on it. A txt file will open showing the esp list.

D) Check the sorting order: the first mod should be "Oblivion.esm [SI]" and the last "DynamicLeveledLists.esp".

-If after running BOSS mods will not change order, try to right-click on the Modify Times column tab and uncheck "Lock Times", then run BOSS again.

E) Right click on "Basher Patch, 0.esp" (the third-ultimate in the list) and select "Rebuild Patch (CBash *BETA*)".
-If a pop-up window will ask you to deactivate some esps, say YES to all.

Step 2B is a little confusing. Where is the Modify Date column? Oh and boss doesn't change the load order for some reason. Other than that is perfect.

EDIT: nvm I got it. You should right click on filename and deselect lock times.

Hey, just a quick question. I downloaded it and i'm a bit confused about the three different parts. the guide doesn't tell you to install anything from them and they appear to have the same files as part one except for the install guide.

What you nee to do is keep all 3 RARed files in one place, open winrarand either highlight all three or when you go to unrar the first one it will take all three.

It will be the whole instalation pack as opne file its just split into 3 seperate folders, you do not need to unrar the thing 3 times just the once is enough.

Looking at your load list it seems you didnt install battlehorn castle, that may be why

1. The Game is crashing and wont load

2. You are getting the missing masters

As for no purple line in there i dont have it either (using windows 7 64 bit) but my wife does (using vista 64 bit). I have had it in there a few times on previous installs but my game wouldnt always work but it seems to work fine now just the occasional crash.

as for the check x and y i am guessing you are meaning when you run the bashed patch well i check the left hand side where it tells me to and if it says check all i check all the boxes on the right hand side too if it say dont check i dont check it.

hope this helps you out

I am not really sure what you should do. I never used any texture packs before due to my lack of ram. However if you think of installing them install them before installing the FCOM superpack.
