INSTALLATION:

Well, this time the installation process is even simplier than before, just follow the installer instructions, and you can play without even set up the load order and Merged Patch (it's already done).

First of all, you need to install FO3 SuperPack on a clean installation of Fallout 3, with ALL the 5 DLC and the 1.7 patch installed (be sure their esps should be all in the Data folder). The SuperPack installation will run the FO3 Launcher to build the INI files, if that doesn't happen, run it manually.

NOTE: To all users of windows 7/Vista don't forget to run the SuperPack Setup as Administrator!

In case you encounter problems running the game after the installation, REBUILD the Merged Patch, here the procedure:

-Go in your SuperPack Utilities.

-Open Fallout Mod Manager.

-Import Load Order -> import the included Load Order file.

-Delete the last mod (Merged Patch.esp).

-Close FOMM.

-Open FO3Edit.

-Wait for the mod list to load.

-Right click on a random mod on the left.

-Select -> Create Merged Patch (call it as you want).

-Exit Fo3Edit, Run FO3MasterUpdate.

-Finish!.

This procedure is necessary when you update the SuperPack (only if i specify the update requires it), or if you change something in the mod list/order!.

NOTE: The installer should install also the correct Fallout.INI file in your Documents, if for some reason it doens't happen (and you see big text in your menus or it says FOSE is not loaded) apply manually the INI, download it from the attachment here -->

RUNNING FO3 FOR THE FIRST TIME:

Enabling the Hotkey Quick Load feature:

-Run the game from the Desktop Shortcut (NOT THE NORMAL ONE).

-When in the game main menu, press F7, it will exit from the game. Fine.

-Now, when you play you MUST press F7 to load the recent savegame, NO MORE F8! This will prevent savegame corruption!

-In order to QuickSave, you need to press F4, and NOT F5 (thanks to CASM savegame mod).

NOTE: you must always run FO3 from the Desktop Shortcut (it uses FOSE) to gain the LoadGame Hotkey feature.

NOTE2: The hotkey quickload feature allows you to automatically return to main menu to load the last saved game. This prevents corrupting savegame (vanilla FO3 problem) when loading. If this feature for some reasons doesn't work on your system, just manually return on main menu and load the game every time you want to load, better if you exit from the game, NEVER use the quickload or ingame menu load!

STARTING A NEW GAME:

Enabling See you: Time to Sleep:

-Run the game again, start a new game, play.

-When exited from Vault 101, or from the Alternative Start Shack, -Open your Pip-Boy.

-Browse your Misc inventory items, find "Sleepy Teddy Bear".

-Drop it on the ground, activate it and Enable the Mod-

-Take it back again.

NOTE: at low levels some night encounters can be deadly!

Enabling IMCN HUD and Hotkey:

-Open your Pip-Boy.

-Go in Aid -> +IMCN Configuration+ -> Interface Configuration.

-Enable HUD.

-Select "Set HUD Positioning Hotkey" -> select a key.

-Select "Set Reserves Check Hotkey -> select a key (i use I, because the default H is used by Zumbs Overhauled Real Time Security mod).

-Now exit the inventory, and use the HUD positioning hotkey, along with the key arrows, to move the HUD where you want!

-Finish!

Disabling Sleep Healing:

-Open your Pip-Boy.

-Go in Apparel -> FWE Control Panel -> Primary Needs Config -> Sleep.

-Select "4 - END and STR based healing" (default is 0 - Full recovery).

-Exit.

NOTE: you can configure also all other FWE/MMM/IMCN options as you prefer, but leave the Primary Needs alone. You can also check my favorite settings.

IMPORTANT: Check your in-game NOTES to gain further information about IMCN and the new Lockpicking system (Zumbs Real Time Security mod).

Can you clarify what this means? When i press F7 in the main menu (where the new game, load, options are located) nothing happens.

So try to play a new game, save, then press F7 ingame. Does it automatically returns to main menu and loads the last save?

if not, no problem, just remember to always return in the main menu to load the last saved game, NEVER load from ingame, or savegame may become corrupted. vanilla Fo3 problem...

OK everything is working. And the mod-pack is almost crash proof. I heard that Fallout had issues with quad core processors is there any way to fix those?
Oh and when do we get a patch? I really want to see See you - Time for sleep

The quad-core crash fix is included in the Fallout.INI installed automatically with the modpack (if not, just put it manually, download from this post)

the 1.1 patch is ready, i'm waiting for RH_Ironsights which will soon have a compatibility patch for FWE (O_O) so i MUST include it the modpack!

if it takes very long i'll just include it in a future patch, releasing the 1.1 without..
