Same I'll be creating mods for Skyrim. I did a few mods for New Vegas as one of the first modders, and made a few patches for Oblivion, but I never did anything deep. I'm going to mod the F out of Skyrim.

If Skyrim at launch is remotely similar to Oblivion at launch or even Morrowind at launch... it will be six years before I have a computer decent enough to run the game.

Therefore, I will be Oblivioning it for a while yet.

Yes it is. However do disable Immersive Interiors. It will show you the regular towns if you look out the windows of houses.

Do you plan to release a future version without the realism mods? I think most people aren't used to the realism mods.

Hi!, my first post here, but I had a question. I have a rather old pc, that is kind of just a bit above the minimun requirements for oblivion, based on the steam store page, tried the game, it runs ok, but I was wondering if I should install the modpack, or rather, if I should expect a difference in performance after installing it?. (I will at the least hunt for all the unnoficial patches and fixes of course.)

Dear Alden,

I think you should be alright so long as you don't install any of the textures pack. There's no harm installing the FCOM Superpack since it really improves the vanilla version by oh, say 10x.

If you find it's really unbearable, you could always uninstall and reinstall the vanilla version.

Cheers Very Happy

I just dread uninstalling and reinstalling due to very slow internet. (just downloading oblivion took me over 10 hours, since at best of times, I get 100kb/s speeds.) but will do what you say then.

Oh sorry... I'm on the retail version but I guess you're on Steam. If that's the case, try to use the un-merged versions. Hope it works since some users faced problems using the Steam version.

I have one final question. Does the modpack really require a minimun of 2 gb of ram?... my system is pretty old, and I only have 1 gb of ram. So the error at startup of the install kind of freaks me up a bit.
